When I got to the Birch Street Nursing Home this morning, there was a note from the head nurse telling me she had noticed all the paint on the carpet of the activity room and that it must be taken care of. I quickly wrote a note reminding her that the patients' original proposal included pulling up the carpet. After Mr. Richards led a brief meeting on the goals for the day, painting continued. The patients got a lot done, finishing up the yellow walls and starting on the mauve accent wall. Now the carpet has two colors on it.
