Cindy's Job At The Birch Street Nursing Home

This morning at the Birch Street Nursing Home, I received the head nurse's response to the patients' latest proposal for improving the look of the activity room. She said that if the patients are able to raise the necessary money themselves, they can go ahead with their improvements, but with one exception. She vetoed the fuchsia accent wall. When I told the patients the head nurse approved of the bulk of the proposal, they got excited. Mr. Richards was a little disappointed about the fuchsia wall, but after a few seconds said we could paint it mauve instead. Then he began enthusiastically listing supplies we would need for this project, so I got the notebook out of my backpack and tried to keep up with all his ideas. Mr. Richards said that the first phase of the project should be painting the walls, and the other patients all agreed. Mrs. Lieberman handed me the money to purchase several cans of yellow paint and one can of mauve. Before I left, Mr. Richards reminded me to get enough paintbrushes for everyone.
