This morning when I arrived at the Birch Street Nursing Home, I saw that the head nurse had left me a special note telling me to vacuum the entire building because everything was covered with dog hair. Mr. Pearlman was at the top of the stairs, calling to his new dog, Sniffles The Eighth. But the dog was busy licking up crumbs under Mrs. Henley's chair at the poker table, and did not respond. It looks like I'm going to have to spend some time training this dog to come when he hears his new name.
