It's a new year, and I have a new best friend. She moved to my town over the holiday break, and started at my school today. Because she's new, she didn't have any friends. My classmates were all ignoring her, and she seemed lonely, so at recess I went to introduce myself. Her name is Alexandra, but she goes by Allie. She forgot to bring her lunch, so I shared mine with her. And now we're best friends. I know we are going to have a lot of fun together.
