Cindy's Job At The Birch Street Nursing Home

When I got to the Birch Street Nursing Home this morning, there was a short written response from the head nurse regarding the patients' proposal for improvements to the activity room. Just as I'd suspected, the head nurse wrote that there was no budget for any improvements. When I broke the news to the patients, Mr. Richards asked if they might raise some of the money themselves. Mrs. Henley immediately suggested a bake sale. That got all the patients talking about different ways to raise the money. Mr. Volkov had an idea to hold a variety show and sell tickets to people in town. It was Mrs. Lieberman who put a stop to these ideas and said we could dip into the poker club money to fund this special project. I immediately wrote a new proposal, which I left on the head nurse's desk.
