For the second week in a row we took our poker game outside at the Birch Street Nursing Home. In the morning, it was lovely out, but by noon it had gotten so hot that I suggested we move back inside. I was sweating, but none of the patients seemed bothered by the heat. In fact, they all kept on their light sweaters. To make sure they didn't get dehydrated, I insisted that they take a drink from the garden hose after each hand.
